BARC identifies premium households, panels to be installed by April 2025

BARC has constantly been trying to make TV audience measurement more holistic. They already have close to 55000 home panels after adding 25000 new panel homes to their existing roster.

The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) had ordered over 5,000 premium panels to measure CTV consumption in the country.

According to Kantar & GroupM Rural Barometer Report 2024, 47 percent of the rural population of the country has adopted a hybrid model of consuming media content fueled by affordable internet and better digital infrastructure.
