YouTube Shorts expands to three minute videos, enhancing creator flexibility

Currently limited to 60 seconds, this expansion will take effect on October 15 and comes in response to creator demand for more flexibility in storytelling.

In a move to compete more effectively with TikTok and Instagram Reels, YouTube announces a significant update to its Shorts feature, allowing longer videos and introducing new creative tools for users.

Havas India launches CSA in India to bolster tech, data, and analytics capabilities

To further solidify the agency’s data & tech capabilities, PivotConsult, the strategic consulting arm of PivotRoots, has been merged into CSA India. PivotConsult, currently a 55-member team, works with marquee clients including, Kotak Bank, Bisleri, Wildcraft, Coca-Cola, and Samsung, among others.

Swiggy shareholders approve increase in IPO size to Rs 5,000 crore: Report

In total, Swiggy’s delivery partners crisscrossed the nation with a collective travel distance of 1.96 billion kilometers in 2024—equivalent to over 533,000 trips between Kashmir and Kanyakumari.

Notably, only the size of the primary issue has been increased to Rs 5,000 crore. The offer for sale (OFS) component will remain unchanged at Rs 6,664 crore

Digital to contribute 18% to revenue pie of media companies by FY27

The move seeks to prevent tactics that circumvent existing legislation and protect the financial interests of the country’s journalism sector.

At present, the digital segment has a 12% share in the media players’ revenue pie (8% in FY19). According to Crisil, it is expected to grow as companies are now focusing on digital modes such as over-the-top platforms, social media, and mobile apps.
