A meeting chaired by MIB’s Ashwini Vaishnaw discussed adopting a unified content rating system for digital platforms.

WPP appoints Brian Lesser as GroupM’s global CEO

Brian Lesser first joined WPP with the acquisition of 24/7 Real Media in 2007. He went on to create the Media Innovation Group, building addressable advertising products and technology for GroupM, including one of the industry’s first data management platforms. In 2011 he founded Xaxis, the programmatic media buying platform which now forms part of GroupM’s media performance organization, GroupM Nexus.

Anuj Poddar is leaving Bajaj Electricals to explore an external opportunity. Poddar led the organisation through a tumultuous phase and has been the architect of its overhaul and turnaround, the company said.

Breaking: Stakeholders to meet MIB on July 19 to brainstorm on SDC

Dr. L Murugan, Minister of State for MIB, emphasized that India's judicial system ensures the protection of constitutional rights, including press freedom.

The court had directed MIB to conduct brainstorming sessions with stakeholders to develop an implementable mechanism around Self Declaration Certificate (SDC) and submit their recommendations in three weeks.
