NSDC, Britannia join hands to empower women entrepreneurs

The program has been launched with the introduction of complimentary self-learning basic entrepreneurship courses available in multiple languages on the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH).

This initiative aims to empower approximately 25 lakh women across India, providing them with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to start and grow successful businesses.

Amara Raja and Ather Energy partner for EV battery development

The overall share of EVs in India's auto market rose to 6.38% in 2023 from 1.75% in 2022, Bharat Lab report mentioned.

Star India terminates $1.5 billion worth ICC sub-licensing deal with Zee

Star India, on September 16, filed a 'statement of case' before London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) in which it declared termination of the alliance agreement and sought the damages in the now-terminated ICC TV rights deal case, from Zee.

The now-terminated deal would have granted Zee exclusive television rights to major ICC men’s events, including two ICC Men’s T20 World Cups (2024, 2026), the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy (2025), the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup (2027), and key ICC U-19 events.

Govt consulting stakeholders on framing fresh legislation to combat deepfake menace

The commission stated that the investigation will focus on whether Google properly evaluated whether PaLM2’s data processing presents a “high risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals” in the EU.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has emphasised on notifying current IT rules and introducing fresh legislation that will mandate social media platforms to tackle the menace of deepfakes. Ministry has further pushed digital intermediaries to act fast on deepfake grievances received.
