Partho Banerjee, Head of Sales and Marketing, Maruti Suzuki, stated, "Today, we have bots which are communicating with our customers. We have two voice bots. They are taking feedback from the customer in their preferred language. For example, if someone wants to give feedback at 12 midnight, the voice bot will call and take their feedback. If needed, the bot will connect them with our call centre executive to understand the matter in greater detail. This makes it convenient for the customer."

Banerjee, the company’s Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, also said that experiential marketing is the way to go for its SUV line-up.

TRAI extends deadline inviting feedback on norm for transferring ownership of machine-to-machine SIMs

According to TRAI, number of telephone subscribers reached 119.9 crore in FY24.

The provision to transfer SIM ownership is available for consumers but there are no such norms in the case of machine-to-machine. The last date for receiving written comments on the issues raised in the consultation paper from stakeholders is now fixed for August 19 for written comments and September 2 for the counter comments.

Adman Brendan Pereira passes away

In March 1972, Pereira co-founded Chaitra Advertising (now Leo Burnett) with Walter Saldanha. He left Chaitra in 1983 to establish his consultancy, Glima. Later, he supported the formation of Nova Advertising Palace.

Pereira’s journey in advertising began in 1945 when he enrolled at the Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Art, where he studied block-making, lithography and photography.
