Dubai court rejects Honasa Consumer grievance filed over fiasco with UAE distributor

Honasa Consumer on October 5 said there will be no attachment of its assets in the UAE as it has no assets there.

The Court of Merits in Dubai has rejected the grievances filed by Honasa and its distributor in the Middle East and African region (RSM General Trading) and ordered to attach assets of Honasa Consumer in UAE along with refusal to cancel its trading license. Honasa foresees no financial implications and plans appeal in Court.

Digital to contribute 18% to revenue pie of media companies by FY27

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology urged social media platforms to take proactive measures against hoax bomb threats and emphasized the need for clearer takedown actions.

At present, the digital segment has a 12% share in the media players’ revenue pie (8% in FY19). According to Crisil, it is expected to grow as companies are now focusing on digital modes such as over-the-top platforms, social media, and mobile apps.
