VLCC appoints Nykaa’s Vikas Gupta as CEO

Vikas Gupta was also the chief customer and marketing officer for Flipkart between 2019-2021. Gupta started his career as a management trainee with HUL in 1998 and spent 21 years with Unilever, leading brand marketing for Lux, Dove, Dirt Is Good brands. He was also the executive director of Home Care for Unilever Indonesia.

Vikas Gupta joins from Nykaa where he was the CEO of SuperStore, Nykaa’s eB2B business. He is armed with 25 years of FMCG and ecommerce experience, and has worked at Unilever and Flipkart.

Bajaj Electricals appoints Devika Sachdev as head of advertising and brand management

Sachdev comes with an experience of 21 years in brand marketing and communications. She has worked across various consumer businesses, namely the Aditya Birla Group, General Mills, Godrej Consumer Products, Bajaj Consumer Care and Marico.

In this role, Devika Sachdev will drive the communication agenda and frame integrated marketing communications strategies across Bajaj, Morphy Richards and Nirlep brands.

Amul’s former chief RS Sodhi joins Reliance Retail Ventures to help build grocery business

RS Sodhi, who served as the managing director at Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) since 2010, moved on from the company on January 9. Sodhi was given an extension for a period of another five years. The decision to remove Sodhi was taken at the board meeting of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), the farmers' cooperative that operates the Amul brand.
