Duroflex’s chief marketing officer Smita Murarka quits the sleep solutions firm

Murarka, who started her career at brand-comm, and has worked in companies like Bulchee, Landmark Group, Lifestyle International and MAS Holdings.

Murarka stepped down from her position in November. Her stint at the company lasted for two years and 11 months.

WPP agency VMLY&R India gets Red Fuse’s Saurabh Saksena as CEO

In his new role, Saurabh Saksena will drive the integration of VMLY&R’s capabilities across India – from creative excellence to transformational solutions at the intersection of brand and customer experience (BX & CX), data, platforms and commerce.

Saurabh Saksena will be based out of Mumbai and will report to Hari Ramanathan, CEO- VMLY&R, South and South-East Asia and Japan.

Myntra ropes in Sunder Balasubramanian from Coupang as CMO

Sunder Balasubramanian, chief marketing officer, Myntra, says, "Social commerce started from what GenZ look for in terms of the kind of influencers that they trust and find authenticity in. What we've seen is the adoption of social commerce strongly over the last few months and quarters itself, over 20 percent of our users interact with our social commerce property. We have done more than 10,000 live shopping sessions. And over time as we build the property, we've seen a 3X increase in traffic for each of the live sessions."

In July this year, Achint Setia, who had served as head of marketing at Myntra, joined Zalora Group (Singapore) as chief revenue and marketing officer.

Famous Innovations elevates Mithila Saraf as CEO

In a statement, the agency says that in her last 10-years at Famous, Mithila Saraf has steered growth for more than 50 brands including Raymond, Mahindra, Titan, Van Heusen, Budweiser, Absolut, Jameson, Diageo and Unilever among others.

Saraf began her career with Famous as an intern and played multiple roles over the years, the last one being business head – Bengaluru.

Former Netflix India executive Tara Kapur joins Duolingo as India marketing head

Tara Kapur has also had stints at companies such as Vice Media and Supari Studios and she was the founding member and content head at Vitamin Stree.

Kapur recently quit the streamer after three years to join the language learning app Duolingo.
