E-commerce major Flipkart has earned nearly Rs 5,000 crore from advertising in FY2024, according to a report by Tofler platform. Previously, the e-commerce platform ad revenue stood at Rs 3,324.7 crore.
The company’s advertisement expenses were up by 4.6 percent to Rs 1,120 crore.
Flipkart’s market arm earns primarily through seller commissions, advertisements, and other fees for seller services.
The Walmart-owned company’s revenue stood at Rs 17,907 crore in 2023-24 while losses fell by 41 percent to Rs 2,358 crore.

According to an Entrackr report, Flipkart posted Rs 3,734 crore as its marketplace fee income in 2023-24 up from Rs 3,713.2 crore in the FY22.

The income from collection services stood at Rs 1,225.8 crore from Rs 1,114.3 crore.
Employee benefit expenses surged by 16 percent to Rs 5,177 crore, mainly due to employee stock option (ESOPs) expenses, up by 32 percent to Rs 2,820 crore.
