Swedish software company Truecaller announced on Wednesday the appointment of Rishit Jhunjhunwala as its new chief executive officer, effective January 9, 2025, as per reports.
Jhunjhunwala, who has been with Truecaller since 2015 and currently serves as the chief of products and managing director of the company’s India division will succeed incumbent CEO Alan Mamedi, who will step down from his role.
Co-founders Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam revealed in a letter to stakeholders that they have chosen to relinquish their operational duties at Truecaller by June 30, 2025. However, both will continue to play an integral role in shaping the company’s future as board members and advisors.
In addition to the leadership changes, Truecaller reported robust financial performance, with quarterly net sales increasing by 15% year-over-year to reach 457 million Swedish crowns (approximately $42.21 million).
