J.P. Morgan Chase Bank India has announced the appointment of Pranav Chawda as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), following approval from the Reserve Bank of India, as per reports.

This move represents a significant elevation in Chawda’s career within the global banking giant.

Chawda, who joined J.P. Morgan in 2019, previously led the commercial banking division. In this capacity, he gained extensive experience managing client relationships and navigating India’s complex banking landscape.

Kaustubh Kulkarni, J.P. Morgan’s senior country officer and vice-chairman for the Asia-Pacific region, expressed confidence in Chawda’s ability to lead the bank’s operations. He emphasized that Chawda’s deep understanding of the local market will be instrumental in driving the corporate banking business forward, as the bank looks to capitalize on the numerous opportunities within India’s rapidly evolving economic landscape.
