Deep Bajaj, co-founder of Sirona Hygiene, has officially stepped down from his role, marking the end of an era for the pioneering feminine hygiene brand, according to an ETNow.in exclusive.
From its inception with the launch of PeeBuddy in 2015 to its innovation-driven focus on sustainable menstrual products, Sirona has become a trailblazer in the Fem tech space in India.
The stepping down coincides with the culmination of a transformative milestone: the acquisition of Sirona by the Good Glamm Group in October 2024 for Rs 450 crores (approximately $60 million).
The all-cash deal is the largest cash exit for a D2C startup in India’s FemTech industry. This follows Good Glamm’s initial Rs 100-crore investment in Sirona in 2022, which delivered returns of 6x to 20x for its early angel and seed investors.
Under Bajaj’s leadership, Sirona tripled its revenue in two years while championing taboo-breaking conversations around menstrual hygiene and sustainable products.
