Dubai Court refused to cancel Honasa Consumer trading license

On December 22, Dubai Court of Appeals rejected appeals filed by Honasa Consumer and its distributor RSM over respective grievances. Court ordered to attach assets of Honasa in UAE and refused to cancel trading license of its Dubai entity, while suspending the proceedings.

Out of the total grievances (4.4 lakh) registered with the Ministry in fiscal 2024, Flipkart led with 1.6 lakh followed by Amazon and Meesho. Swiggy topped with 9,527 grievances among food delivery platforms followed by Zomato.

Radio players’ conservative bid in third batch of phase-III FM e-auctions

TRAI to discuss provisions for broadcasting services under Telecom Act on Dec 18

The Central Government will now review TRAI’s recommendations before finalising the regulations under the Telecommunications Act, 2023.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India will hold the open house discussion on ‘framework for service authorisations for provision of broadcasting services under the Telecom Act, 2023’ on December 18, followed by ‘regulatory framework for ground-based broadcasters’ on December 20.

The I&B Ministry invited applications for the e-auction of Private FM Radio Phase-III channels in October 2024, where the last submission date was December 9. In 2015, the central government raised Rs 1,187 crore auctioning 91 FM stations across 54 towns in phase-III of private FM radio policy.
