Priyali Kamath, who led P&G as senior vice president – skin and personal care, has joined Imperial Brands PLC as president.
Kamath began her career at P&G as human resources manager and over a period held various roles in different capacities.
As the brand director of feminine care, Kamath led the marketing program for P&G’s Whisper business, including developing a profitable launch model for affordable protection. The affordable protection program propelled Whisper India to record share, and accelerated category development in both urban and rural India.
She developed an award winning campaign on Feminine protection that challenged the taboos around talking the category overtly, and brought sanitary protection to the front of the store.
As the senior marketing director – Media, Asean, Australasia, India, Japan & Korea, Kamath led the media and digital strategies for P&G Asia (largest advertiser in the world). Created a new methodology for revenue-based planning, to step change media ROI, accelerate the adoption of digital and harness big data for sharper targeting and re-targeting.
She restructured agency solutions to deliver effective planning, ahead of creative asset development. She owned critical agency relationships and JBPs with significant digital partners.
